Fees and scholarships
Participation costs:
-
The COASTHAZAR programme encompasses several participation costs. The tuition fee covers handling expenses, library and laboratory expenses, and any remaining costs associated with the programme, such as introductory programs at each university, field trips and workshops.
-
COASTHazar participants are entitled to the complimentary use of a laptop and specialized software, provided at the starting of the programme. The use of the laptop is covered by the tuition fee.
-
The tuition fee does not cover visa and insurance expenses: around €300 and €850, respectively, that should be paid separately.
Reduced tuition fee for the 2026-2028 edition:
-
The COASTHazar programme will apply for a grant renewal in 2026 to secure funding for a new set of Erasmus Mundus scholarships across 4 cohorts (from 2027 to 2032).
-
Erasmus Mundus scholarships will not be available for the 2026–2028 edition, nevertheless the programme can support a reduced tuition fee for the 2026-2028 edition.
-
Applicants for the 2026-2028 COASTHazar edition can enrol in the programme with a reduced tuition fee of €16,605 for the entire 24-month duration of the programme.
-
The reduced tuition fee does not cover the student insurance package (about €850, covering health, liability, accident, and assistant insurance).
-
All additional costs, including those associated with visas, travel, living, and accommodation for the 24-month period, are not covered by the tuition fee, and a confirmation of available funding for these costs is required. See Students and Alumni section.

Participants accompanied by their families should possess supplementary financial resources.
In addition to the above-mentioned costs, it's essential to factor in additional items, including transportation costs, fees for visa processing, among others.
Students with disabilities:
Students with disabilities may be eligible to receive a contribution towards their individual needs, up to a specified maximum, provided they meet the general eligibility conditions outlined in the grant agreement.
